Cabopino is a
great place for varied and superb quality food. The
restaurants are popular with locals and visitors alike, many of the people you will sit next to in the restaurants live here.
There is plenty of choice for excellent food.
A brief guide to some of the choices you will face each evening! In alphabetic sequence.
They have a large menu – but always manage to temp us with an excellent range of delicious
specials of the day! Also popular for an excellent relaxing English breakfast. Best to book
in summer to get an outside table, and similarly in winter for an inside table! Telephone: (0034) 952 836 886.
You just have a visit to the toilets – even if you do not want to go – just to see the
‘delightfully over the top’ interior design. The piano area is always decked out in
suitable attire for special events – Christmas, Halloween, Easter, etc.
Not a restaurant but a great bar to get a drink prior to dining, or a drink after dining - just be careful you dont get too comfortable as you may end up forgetting to dine! We have done often! This bar is on the side of the round Plaza (square!) just behind the Marina. Brian and Gill are excellent hosts. Due to its off street and away from the water location this bar is a very relaxing place to sit with drinks while the kids play in the plaza for those with children. Does a fantastic Sangria!

There are several of these on Andy's Beach to the right of the marina as you look out to sea (Andy Beach Restaurant and La Lonca), and one (El Realejo) on the left of the marina. We have eaten at all of these and they offer good simple food. Many serve local fresh fish cooked traditionally over hot ashes. Andy’s Beach Bar (above), the furthest from the marina is a great place to chill out after a day on the beach, with live music from time to time. A great place to be at sunset in the autumn months.
We recently tried this one for the first time - just a short walk
if you are looking for somewhere simple local. Just walk
inside the campsite and turn left and Mario's restaurant is about
100m in front in a nice wooden lodge. Great pasta dishes.
Also a good place for a simple breakfast.
Probably the most popular Italian in the area. This one is also the most local formal restaurant to the apartment!
About a 100 meter walk. It offers fantastic Italian food, inside and on the terrace.
Due to the reputation and popularity of this restaurant we recommend you book in advance.
We have struggled to get a table in November!
The nearest - A great and simple pizza place at the back of the shops immediately behind
the apartment. An easy place to go for a drink, as well as great pizza (possibly the best on the coast - we travel from our villa to eat the great Inferno!), they offer a range
of other popular foods.
Graham the friendly proprietor also does take away pizza if you wish to eat on the terrace.

Possibly the best in the area and definitely the best value for money! Food exactly as
you like it cooked, and you are guaranteed the best table in the place with a stunning sea view.
So get in the firelighters, coals and steaks. Add some fresh bread, cheese and Serrano Ham
(very popular in Spain and similar to Parma Ham – Jamon de Serrano in Spanish - Jamon is
pronounced am-on – while sounding like you a trying to raise a kilo of phlegm from the
back of your throat!) from the local supermarket. Remember to also get a nice bottle of
Cava or Spanish wine, some Cerveza (beer) and some crisps.
Put on a DVD for the kids (if you have any!) and set up the table on the terrace. Enjoy
- while watching the sky change colours at sunset over the med

Excellent Italian restaurant just after Albert’s on the left as you enter the marina. Excellent food and desserts. Nice salads for a refreshing lunch. Kids will love the crepes!
Another great and popular Italian on your left as you enter the marina. We can recommend the
superb, and probably very unhealthy Salmon or Mushroom crepes for starters!
Great place for a drink, or cocktails overlooking the marina, all done out in white. The last place on the left as you enter the marina through the tunnel.
On the right as you enter the marina, part of El Puerto. A nice place to sit and relax with an ice cream and a drink during the day. Also nicely sheltered for and ice cream treat in the winter sun.
On the right as you enter the marina - possibly the best quality food in the marina - interesting and varied menu, from an ex LA chef. A great place for a special occasion. A favourite along the coast with great food and service.
Chinese and Thai Restaurant on the left as you enter the Marina. Excellent range of sizzling dishes. They also do a takeaway service if you wanted to eat in on the terrace. Very friendly place to eat!
A very nice looking seafood restaurant on your right as you walk into the marina. From our limited experiences, pricy and very average seafood, in an admittedly very nice setting.
Irish bar and snack place in the round Plaza behind the Marina.
The nearest bar – on the corner at the back of the shops immediately behind the apartment. A handy typical Spanish ‘British’ bar with sky sports! Avoids the walk to the marina on those tiring days when you have had enough and fancy a drink without the walk!

Indian restaurant in the Cabopino marina. A nice friendly place found in the corner of the round Plaza just behind the Marina. In the summer months it is often easier to get a table here, than in the marina waterfront restaurants. They also have a 'hidden terrace' outside the back. The hidden terrace at the back is THE place to eat on a sunny winters day – with the protection from any breezes it gets superbly hot in this little square.
A nice friendly bar on the round Plaza behind the marina.
Nice restaurant in the corner of the square behind the marina. Next to Bar La Plaza.
